Q1. Who is the Developer of Almogran?
A. Almogran is being developed by the Alsunut Development Company (alsunut.com), a joint venture developed by DAL Property Development, a subsidiary of the DAL Group Company Ltd (www.dalgroup.com), Khartoum State and the National Social Insurance Fund. Founded in 1951 the DAL Group has since grown into one of the largest and most diversified conglomerates in the Sudan. Several independent DAL companies now operate in the commercial and industrial sectors representing international conglomerates such as Coca-Cola, Caterpillar, John Deere, AWB (Australian Wheat Board), Rolls Royce, Mitsubishi, Mercedes Benz, Bridgestone Tyres and Exide Batteries. DAL Group also operates its own industries including flour mills, beverage and dairy plants, industrial gases, and agricultural services.
Q2. What does “Almogran” mean?
A. “Al” means the in Arabic, and “Mogran” refers to the term horn in Arabic. Almogran is the name traditionally used in Khartoum for the land located at the confluence of the White Nile and Blue Rivers – this area forms the shape of a horn.
Q3. Is Alsunut developing just land, or is it also developing buildings?
A. Alsunut is developing all roads, parks, public areas, and infrastructure, including power and water supply, waste treatment, fiber optic network, drainage, etc and is offering the market individual land parcels for development in accordance with the Master Plan.
