Infrastructure

Q24. Who will provide the infrastructure?
A. Alsunut will be responsible for initially providing distribution/collection systems for all major services (power, water, telecoms, sewers, irrigation, fire mains, storm drainage), and development of generation/treatment plants (power plant, water treatment plant and wastewater treatment plant). The on-going provision of these services will be overseen by the PDA although some infrastructure services may be operated by 3rd party providers – under agreement with the PDA.

Q25. Will irrigation water be utilised within the development?
A. Alsunut will be developing an irrigation network, using the treated effluent from the Almogran sewage treatment plant. The first priority for this water will be to provide irrigation water for public parks, roadway landscaping, and the golf course.
